MobileAware Discusses Mobile Gambling Strategies at Gaming Summit in Madrid

On July 10, 2007, MobileAware, a provider of Mobile Service Infrastructure, discussed their strategies and techniques for gaming and betting to take advantage of the growth of the mobile gambling market at the Gaming Executive Summit in Madrid, Spain.

The conference will end on July 12, 2007. The Sales Director of EMEA, Victor Brophy, outlined the vital factors needed to produce profit generating mobile offerings to thousands of mobile devices like mobile phones, personal digital assistants and digital television.

Brophy also shared his experiences gained from working at some MobileAware projects with European betting organizations and lottery groups, like the recent product deployment with William Hill, a betting company in Britain and Lottomatica, the operator for the national lottery of Italy.

Mobile gaming is quickly becoming a very popular past time with many mobile users. Juniper Research, an analyst firm, states that the worldwide market for all types of mobile gambling, like casinos, lottery and even sports wagering will rise from $1.35 billion in 2006 to $16.6 billion by 2011.

The European market is currently the biggest market for mobile gaming, with an estimated $665 million in total wagers in 2006. Sports wagering is currently the largest industry in mobile gaming, but the lottery is expected to take the top position by 2010, as lottery and other games like bingo will enter the mobile channel for the masses.

Victor Brophy, the Sales Director, EMEA at MobileAware, said that the growing demand for mobile services only means that it is a good time to expand the mobile offering for mobile users.

He said that MobileAware's technology and industry know-how has helped some of the biggest betting organizations in Europe attract more customers with their mobile offerings and provide their users with more convenient mobile gaming.

Europe features great potential for mobile market growth and they are looking forward to guiding gambling and lottery organizations in their future plans.
