European Gambling Faces a Healthy Future

According to a study held by the European Gaming Commission on November 24, 2005, this past year has been a major ride for the online gambling industry. Many problems that have arisen unexpectedly, such as arrests and operations, appear less important in light of the implications of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA), and the company buy-outs, mergers and even acquisitions caused by the passage of this act, which was passed appropriately last October 13, 2006, "Friday the 13th" for the Online Gambling Industry.

The study also states that the European Market regarding gambling will rise sooner than expected and that the industry has phenomenal untapped potential. About 3% of the gross domestic product (GDP) of the European Union comes from gambling. Even European Mobile Gambling is expected to develop into a force to be reckoned with. The Bullet Business 2nd Yearly Poker Conference will have Mr. Lee Richardson, the CEO of Chartwell as the speaker.

He will be speaking about the current licensing trend in Italy and the new regulations regarding European Gambling. He further added that the growth in the industry will not only be good for all of the companies that are involved, but for Chartwell and its customers as well.
