On January 23rd, 2009, well-known mobile telephone gaming provider Mfuse Limited has announced its move into the Scandinavian gaming market after finalizing a three year collaboration with Swedish gambling organization Betsson AB. Stockholm-based Betsson is considered to be one of the biggest gambling companies in the world and Mfuse will now be responsible in supplying Betssson with a sports wagering product that will enable Betsson to debut one of the first ever mobile wagering services in Scandinavia.
Mfuse said that the brand new service would be launch in the spring offering both Java and mobile internet formats. It is also scheduled to be launched in different languages like Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Turkish, Polish, Spanish, French, Greek, Italian, German and English. Charles Palmer, the Marketing Director for London-based Mfuse said that this is a historic and important agreement for Mfuse as they continue to execute their plan on expanding their presence in the gambling market in Europe.
Palmer said that Betsson is a fast growing organization that knows how to make the mobile gaming channel an immense success. By collaborating together with the Betsson team, they are able to give interesting mobile gaming products to the Scandinavian gaming markets. Betsson has more than one hundred twenty thousand active online customers and yearly revenues of more than $110 million. It has a growth of around fifty percent per year but has expanded its presence by 1,200 percent since 2005.
Betsson stated that the agreement would see Mfuse give the company with the latest generation of sports wagering technology alongside the brand new developments in user interface design with a full suite of multi-wagers and live in-play wagering. Thomas Kalita, the Chief Executive Officer for Betsson Malta Limited said that following a thorough review of the market, they have picked Mfuse to provide them with mobile service because of their extensive knowledge and experience in mobile gaming technology. Aside from that, Mfuse can also provide both sports wagering and casino games, meaning that they can offer a consistent mobile experience to their customers.
