BetGenius Announces The Buyout of Data Provider TurfTrax

On August 27th, 2008, London-based BetGenius, a white-label provider for sports wagering odds comparison services, has publicly announced the buyout of British data provider TurfTrax for an undisclosed amount of cash. The agreement includes TurfTrax's web, mobile gambling and interactive television racing information services and will see the firm's Head of Betting Services, Ben Clifford, stay on as the Head of Odds Comparison and Media Services at BetGenius.

In his new position, Clifford will manage the transfer of brand new products for TurfTrax. A spokesperson for BetGenius commented that it would utilized the buyout to increase the range of products on its flagship BetBetting.com odds comparison online site and improved their horseracing content and coverage including an in-depth information service and the TurfTrax.com form guide, which is duly recognized in the horse racing market as a data and statistics service.

Mark Locke, the Commercial Director for BetGenius said that TurfTrax is appropriate for their overall strategy of collating wagering specific data for the bookmaking market. He added that it allows BetGenius to supplement BestBetting offering for the player and with one-of-a kind historic data that it gives and further upgrade the products that they give to their bookmakers.
